What might you observe inside the home? You could see cracks developing in the floors and walls of your home. Well water (if you have it) might become muddy or cloudy. Doors and windows might not close properly anymore.
There are actually a number of warning signs to look out for around your property also, some being very noticeable, while others are not so obvious. Some of the more subtle indicators to watch for are trees and fences becoming exposed in places that were formerly underground. You might also see them starting to lean over. Plant life could be dying off in certain areas for no apparent reason. This could be due to the plants water source draining into a sinkhole. Has water started to form pools in areas of your property that have never had this problem before? This is another potential sinkhole warning sign. What of the more noticeable warning signs? Cracks forming in circular patterns on the ground, rapid ground subsidence and openings suddenly appearing in the ground are some of those signs.
This is a few of the possible sinkhole warning signs to look out for. It should be mentioned, however, that a number of the things we have mentioned could also be signs of a completely different problem so its important to have this checked out to determine the correct cause.
